Night one~

So night one started like this, home from work....finally...... and my hubby asked me to run to the local grocery store for a few odds and ends.  Great, it's my prayer time dude!  AND it is day ONE!!!   How can I be at the store during my prayer time!!!   Minor freak out, but I went with the flow.  I decided to pray while driving up town, while shopping, driving home, putting things away, and then I would go to my room with my bible and PRAY!!!  Like for real pray, not just while I was out doing my "mommy stuff".  But for real!

I turned on Klove during my ride. (check it out www.klove.com ) It seemed like every song was talking to me.  Every song was about prayer, finding time to love, searching out God's love for me, understandings God love for me.  So I sang out to God.  I sang my heart out.  And I loved it.  It may not be a "prayer", but I was singing for The Lord.  I knew he could hear me.  He started talking to me and I started talking right back.
The Lord is like your best friend, the friend who gives you the best advice.  The friend who is always along for the ride.  Even if the ride is bumpy, there he is, ridding shot gun, holding your hand, telling you everything will be alright.  In the end it will all be alright.
Or you put him in the back seat, or trunk of the car. (Totally rude by the way! I mean, who wants to go on a road trip with your best friend and sit in the back seat?) he is still there, you just turn the music up and don't listen to him. he is still there trying to tell you everything is going to be alright, trying to hold your hand, trying to give you directions, point you on the right path.  But you don't listen.  Then you wonder why your life is pure hell????????   Um listen to your father!

So, back to my prayer time. God told me to apologize to a friend.  A friend I feel that I hurt.  People have said if your words aren't truthful, if they are hurtful, or coming from a bad place, you shouldn't say them.  Well I think some of the words I spoke to her were coming from a place of my hurt, my bad place.  I didn't give you the advice I could have.  I felt I was being honest and truthful.  I felt I was doing something good.  I told myself "well this is what people say". I should have thought before I opened my mouth!  I could see the hurt on her little face.  I could see the confusion, the questions she wanted to ask, I could see the wheels spinning.  She didn't say a lot during our conversation.  So, I need to tell her I am sorry.  I need to be a kind loving friend and listen to her words and try to give biblical advice.  Not hurt feelings advice!

He also told me during this prayer time to send bibles to Moore, Oklahoma.  It was laid upon my heart that those poor people have NOTHING.  Everything was blown away.  They need the strength of the Lord to get them through this terrible natural disaster.  The need to be able to sit down and read a bible.  The need to be tole that God loves them over and over again!  The need bibles!  So I am working on a way to send Bibles to Oklahoma.

Reflection.  I don't know what really to say about the things God has asked me to do. So I am collecting bibles to some how send to Moore.   And I am going to have lunch with my awesome friend next week!

Almost time for prayer day three!  Good luck to all of you on Prayer journey's !!!

May God bless you greatly!!!

Today....is the first day of the rest of my life.....I better make it good!

Today I decided to participate in my church's "Project 186", there are people from my church who chose an hour to pray every day for a week.  Every day, for a week, at the same time, they pray. Pray for our church, the people of our church, and anything else they want to pray about.  I got in late on this journey..but I hear good things are happening.  This is my prayer journal.  My journey to a week long commitment to pray every day at 10:30pm-11:30pm.  Tonight is my first night.  I am nervous and scared.  But I know God will hear me and understand my heart and what I am trying to do and say to him.

I will blog every day during this journey.  Please join me in pray at this time.  or just leave me some comments .  I could use the encouragement from you all.  If you are not going to encourage me, please don't post.  Or do, I will pray for you too!!!

Tonight's prayer session will include prayers for my family. For Guidance, acceptance, knowledge, anxiety relief, vehicle issues, financial issues, guidance for my church leaders, guidance for the church members, and I will be asking for guidance as to my position at the church.  Not that I have a position, but my place within the church.

Praying for you all!
